Project Description

Type of Project: Analysis
Category: Cross-Cutting
Objectives: Estimate the cost of the fuel cell system using the Directed Technologies, Inc. cost database built up over the several years under U.S. Department of Energy and Ford Motor Company contracts.
Methodology/Approach: Most of the costs are based on a detailed "bottom-up" analysis of the individual system components, using commercial cost estimation software for large scale mass production materials, manufacturing processes and assembly time and cost.
