DOE Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Program Organization

Organizational structure for the DOE Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Program: Under the DOE energy secretary and under secretary, the DOE Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Program manager oversees and coordinates the hydrogen and fuel cell research activities of the offices of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), Fossil Energy (FE), Nuclear Energy (NE), and Science (SC). In addition, the DOE Hydroge and Fuel Cellsn Program manager oversees the systems integrator, chief engineer, technology analyst, and an Interagency Working Group. The Hydrogen Program Coordination Group oversees hydrogen activities in EERE, FE, NE, SC, and DOT. Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Program management in the field includes the Golden Field Office, National Energy Technology Laboratory, Idaho Operations Office, and Chicago Operations Office. Project implementation is performed by national laboratories, industry, universities and state and local government.
